It is our pleasure and privilege to announce that Vox Tandem has joined Emmaus Rotary and the East Penn Food Coalition. Alongside other volunteer organizations such as The Angel Network, Bethel Food Pantry, Kiwanis, Lions, Lionesses, and numerous faith organizations, we are all working together to combat food insecurity in the East Penn School District region.
How will Vox Tandem help the East Penn Food Coalition?

In 2019, representatives from Emmaus Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions and Lionesses met with management staff in the East Penn School District to assess children’s need in our community. Surprising to many, the East Penn Community has a large number of hungry families.
As of mid January 2021, the East Penn Food Coalition has provided over 7300 weekend meal bags to the community’s needy families.
In the summer of 2020, the East Penn Food Coalition was formed with with the Emmaus Rotary, Kiwanis, Lion / Lioness, East Penn School District, Bethel Food Pantry, Angel Network, Faith Presbyterian Church, Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Neighbors Helping Neighbors, the YMCA, and St. Ann’s Church to work together awards the long term sustainability of the East Penn Food Program and address the community need of hunger.
Kids CAN’T pay attention in school if they are hungry. This initiative is 100% volunteer and therefore 100% of your donations will go to meals that feed the hungry kids!
Since September, 2019 to date we have expanded the program with a weekend food supply to the entire school district going from 33 per week to now an immediate need of 325 per week. Food costs have risen and we need more funding to sustain the program. The cost for the 2021 summer program alone will exceed $10,000. We expect to continue the program beyond the summer.
How can YOU make a difference?
You can feed a hungry child in YOUR COMMUNITY by donating much needed funds. Your donation will be directly used to purchase the nutritious foods we pack each week from Second Harvest Food Bank and other local food stores.
